Spring is here

springtime1

It’s always great to see spring in full blast. Spring time in Winnipeg is here(FINALLY!!). After the six months of seemingly never ending, freezing winter, the snow is melting at last. I took the liberty on capturing this momentous occasion by going out and taking a photo of this melting snow.

First Silhouette

firstsilhouette

For many years now I have been very curious about photography and wanted to pursue it as a hobby. I guess I’m just lazy for not doing anything about it. My love for photography came alive when I decided to buy my camera(Olympus e-420).   Because of my laziness, I am very new at this hence, this is my first ever silhouette. (and I think not the last one). This photo is our crab apple tree during winter time.

Enjoy!

Insulate

window

I decided to shoot our old window – at least whats left of it today. When they were fixing our windows a few days back, my family and I learned the root cause of those cold winter nights; our windows never had any insulation. Now it makes sense why we freeze to death every winterpeg . At least everything is well insulated now, also, we got new windows that can open and close so we can let the breeze in during the summer time.

Simple Pleasures

simplepleasures1We traveled and shopped last Saturday at Grand Forks, ND. We left at around 6:00 am and arrived at the Columbia Mall at around 9:15 am. The mall was still closed so we used our spare time to walk around and inspect the place. I noticed that there were a lot of gumball machines (and i mean a lot) scattered all over the place. It made me stop and think about how these simple pleasures can be so overshadowed by almost everything and anything nowadays.
