Raindrops

“May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow. May the soft winds freshen your spirit. May the sunshine brighten your heart. May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you, and may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.” –Irish Blessing

M.S. River Rouge Cruise

RRcruise09After weeks and weeks of planning, we finally did it. After the disappointing attempt two weeks ago, we finally sailed across the Winnipeg rivers(Assiniboine River and Red River) aboard the M.S. River Rouge. I was extremely excited to take pictures of downtown Winnipeg from the river and here are the results. Also, note that I didn’t bother to take portraits that day because we had lots of portrait pictures from two weeks ago because at that time the diesel engine of the cruise ship was broken and those were the only pictures I could take. Please comment and let me know what you think. Enjoy! 😀

Thunderstorm Fun

greenhill sunset05-2After the second annual UMsigaw Picnic, we stayed for a few hours more at Assiniboine Park to relax and talk. At least my friends talked and relaxed. I was having fun too; experimenting, practicing, and learning marcro photography. I took pictures of my shoes and spiders.

My crazy day didn’t stop there, after we dropped off some of our things in my house, the clouds started to look a bit crazy but amazing to photograph. I hesitated at first to stop and take pictures because I didn’t want to delay any plans we have that night. But then my friend Angelique suggested that we should stop to take pictures because she said these things only happen a few times a year. After hearing this, I rushed towards the greenhill to take advantage of the beautiful sunset and cloud formation of the thunderstorm. Please click on the thumbnail for a larger preview. Also, please rate and comment and let me know what you think. Thanks ^__^

Looking Through the Eyes

This is a photo of my nephew Martin Jake. He is such an great model if he is in the mood. Hahaha!! This is such an amazing shot I can’t even contain myself. One day I was just playing around with Jake and then suddenly he puts his eyes directly on to my lens. I wasn’t thinking about taking a photo of him. It just so happen that my camera was in our living room and he saw it. I asked him if he wanted me to take a picture. He obliged and I told him to look away from the camera for one sec and here is my outcome. hahaha… Thanks Jake!!!

Just Another Flower

macro01
Well, I’ve been back in Winnipeg for several months now. And for those who’ve been following my blog (hahahah!! if there are any of you out there..), you know that all of my post since May 2009 was pictures from my trip to the Philippines. I still have good pictures to share from the Philippines but I decided that its time for a little change of scene. So here it is, my first Winnipeg photo. I hope you enjoy. This photo was one of my test shots after buying my macro lens.
