M.S. River Rouge Cruise

RRcruise09After weeks and weeks of planning, we finally did it. After the disappointing attempt two weeks ago, we finally sailed across the Winnipeg rivers(Assiniboine River and Red River) aboard the M.S. River Rouge. I was extremely excited to take pictures of downtown Winnipeg from the river and here are the results. Also, note that I didn’t bother to take portraits that day because we had lots of portrait pictures from two weeks ago because at that time the diesel engine of the cruise ship was broken and those were the only pictures I could take. Please comment and let me know what you think. Enjoy! 😀

Thunderstorm Fun

greenhill sunset05-2After the second annual UMsigaw Picnic, we stayed for a few hours more at Assiniboine Park to relax and talk. At least my friends talked and relaxed. I was having fun too; experimenting, practicing, and learning marcro photography. I took pictures of my shoes and spiders.

My crazy day didn’t stop there, after we dropped off some of our things in my house, the clouds started to look a bit crazy but amazing to photograph. I hesitated at first to stop and take pictures because I didn’t want to delay any plans we have that night. But then my friend Angelique suggested that we should stop to take pictures because she said these things only happen a few times a year. After hearing this, I rushed towards the greenhill to take advantage of the beautiful sunset and cloud formation of the thunderstorm. Please click on the thumbnail for a larger preview. Also, please rate and comment and let me know what you think. Thanks ^__^

Space Shuttle Sunset

space_shuttle

The Space Shuttle is a boomerang type roller coaster. The Boomerang consists of a single train with seven cars, capable of carrying 28 passengers. The ride begins when the train is pulled backwards from the station and up a lift hill, before being released. After being released, the train passes through the station, enters a Cobra roll element (referred to as a boomerang by the designers), then travels through a vertical loop. Upon exiting the loop, the train runs up a second lift hill, which is angled so that the two lifts meet at the top in a “V”-like formation. Once out of momentum, the train is towed to the top of the lift hill, and is held for several seconds before being released; traveling through the roller coaster in reverse before returning to the station.
