It’s almost Christmas. As we journey through this season of giving, I give you this friendly reminder; follow your star but be mindful of where it ends. All of us has a unique star to follow but it all points to the same destination. Also, just like the three kings, we must remember that we never travel alone. We have our friends and family to ride beside us through the scorching desert and the cold winter nights that we may come across. And of course, we have the star to guide us and lead us to the right direction. But after all the ups and downs of this journey, remember that the star leads us to the reason we celebrate Christmas. No matter what path we take, or how we get there, it ends in the same place. So enjoy this joyous season but remember why we celebrate. Merry Christmas! ๐

Light a Candle
โBetter to light a candle than to curse the darkness.โ
Despite all the darkness in the world, one must never forget that there is a Light that can never be extinguished. No matter how low you are in your life, hold on to God, the light that shows the way we need to follow.
This is my candle offering, for all the victims of natural disasters and the massacre in the Philippines. May God be your Light in this very dark moment. Also, I share this candle to everyone who are in the middle of any crisis. May you find peace in your sufferings.

Travel and Eat
Sinuglaw(Grilled Pork with Tuna ceviche)
Well, I’ve been thinking very deeply about what to post next in my blog and so I found myself looking through pictures of my journey back to the Philippines. And found these amazing photographs of the food I engulfed myself with and I greatly miss. All of these are from Antonio’s Restaurant at Davao City. I love this place. Overall, I enjoyed my experience with food more than anything else in the Philippines. Well I guess except for scuba diving but that is for another day and another post. Enjoy!

Autumn in Winnipeg
Change is a measure of time and in the autumn, time seems speeded up. What was is not and never again will be; what is is change.
– Edwin Way Teale
โAutumn burned brightly, a running flame through the mountains, a torch flung to the trees.โ
Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits.ย ~Samuel Butler

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
Frank Gehry’s work here in 1986–theย Standing Glass Fish has become a beloved icon in the Minneapolis’ cultural life.ย The figure of the fish—-a fond remembrance of the giant carp his Jewish grandmother would leave swimming in the bathtub each week to use for her Friday-night gefilte fish—has been a recurring motif in Gehry’s work. He has used it for his whimsical lamps, in the design for a conference room, and as a notational element in his architectural drawings. ย Source
Spoonbridge and Cherry, 1985-1988
Created by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, the complex fabrication of the 5,800 pound spoon and 1,200 pound cherry was carried out at two shipbuilding yards in New England. The sculpture has become a beloved icon in the Garden, whether glaceed with snow in the Minnesota winters or gleaming in the warmer months, with water flowing over the surface of the cherry and a fine mist rising from its stem. ย Source

Gorge Creek Trail
Here are some of the photos from the gorge creek trail at riding mountain. The experiences we had from the trail was unforgettable. Above is a photo of a mama bear paw. It was really big and there were little ones beside it which we assumed to be baby black bears. It was really a fresh trail when we saw it, we were both amazed and frightened at the same time. Below are some of my macro shots. Please enjoy, comment and rate. Thanks ๐

Legoland
It was my nephew’s day. He was so excited to go to legoland and pick up a lego of his choice. Jake definitely had a lot of fun that day but I think his uncle had a lot of fun too. I can even go as far as his uncle was jealous because he didn’t buy his own lego. hahahah! His uncle took a lot of pictures so I guess he left legoland with a smile on his face even though he didn’t leave with any lego.
Lego was my brother’s collection back in the Philippines. I think that explains why after buying one lego box, we had to go back and buy 3 more for his son Jake. His wife was mad for spoiling his son. hahaha! For a second there it seemed that he was really buying the lego for himself. hahaha!!! Never the less we all had a lot of fun. Enjoy my macro lego moments.
